Budget Town Halls
County Executive Steuart Pittman and I want to hear from District 1 community members about their priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. On January 29, I’ll join County Executive Pittman for a budget town hall from 6 to 8 p.m. in North County High School’s cafeteria.
This is your opportunity to share your priorities for the next county budget with our county leaders. Residents can provide two minutes of public testimony, speaking directly to the County Executive and County Council about their budget request.
You can register for the town hall HERE. If you can’t attend in person, all budget town halls will be live-streamed HERE.
North County High School is at 10 E. 1st Ave., Glen Burnie, MD 21061. For more information, click HERE.
Honoring Black History Month: “Few of the Many” Awards
Anne Arundel County is proud to support and honor Black History Month by celebrating individuals in our community who exemplify the excellence and endurance of Anne Arundel County. The “Few of the Many” awards will be presented at Maryland Hall in Annapolis on Wednesday, February 12 from 6-8 PM.
The ‘Few of the Many’ Awards is County Executive Steuart Pittman's signature Black History Month event in partnership with the Caucus of African American Leaders. This year, we will honor individuals in our county who have employed art to safeguard history, uphold communal memory, and foster empowerment.
This theme beautifully encapsulates Black Americans' remarkable impact on visual arts, music, cultural movements, and beyond.
Thank you to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee and Maryland Hall for supporting this event. We hope to see you there!
