Maryland Million Day
On October 12, I attended Jim McKay Maryland Million Day at Laurel Racetrack! Maryland Million Day showcases Maryland’s rich Thoroughbred horse racing history and honors the late Jim McKay, a Maryland native and former ABC Sports broadcaster.
Each participating horse is connected to Maryland, emphasizing local breeders, stables, owners, and trainers. I spent the afternoon with Maryland’s thriving racing community and met some of Maryland’s talented, up-and-coming jockeys. Thanks to everyone who shared their homegrown talent and expertise, which has been years (and even generations) in the making. This day is highly anticipated every year, and I am so glad to have been a part of it.
Meet Angela Alsobrooks, Candidate for U.S. Senate
In less than a month, Marylanders will vote in one of the most competitive and vital elections we have seen in years. Maryland’s very own senate race is being watched across the country.
You can meet Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks on October 23 at 6:30pm at the Stanton Community Center 92 W Washington Street in Annapolis. For more information or to RSVP, click HERE.
